The Challenge
Old Town Square, a 10-story, 281-unit residential development in the heart of Pompano Beach, required a complete low-voltage and building technology package to support its apartments, luxury amenities, and ground-floor retail. The project called for a structured cabling and fiber backbone to deliver Gigabit connectivity throughout every unit and shared space; integrated video surveillance and access control to secure entrances, elevators, parking areas, and amenities with mobile and keyless access; in-unit smart technology and centralized building automation to improve resident convenience, reduce operating costs, and enable future upgrades; modern audio-visual systems to enhance shared spaces including the fitness center, yoga deck, media room, and coworking areas; and a code-compliant DAS/BDA system to ensure reliable first responder radio coverage across the high-rise.

Our Approach
Coranet engaged early in the project to coordinate low-voltage design with the architect, GC, and other trades. Our team developed detailed engineering plans for network infrastructure, security, AV, and life-safety systems to ensure seamless integration with the building’s layout. We maintained consistent communication and scheduling alignment throughout construction, while applying strict standards for labeling, documentation, and system testing. This disciplined process allowed every system to be installed efficiently, code-compliantly, and ready for turnover without disruption to the overall build.
