The Challenge

In 2017, a hedge fund decided to invest in a cutting-edge audio-visual environment for their new office space in midtown Manhattan. Both broadcast streaming and internal content would be integral. An innovative video environment would be paramount to help attract and retain top talent, promote interaction often at a fingertip’s touch, and connect visitors and business partners worldwide.

Our Approach

Besides obtaining state-of-the-art equipment for the fund, Coranet needed to create an A/V environment that would make people feel comfortable and engaged, while feeling stimulated to produce business results. Our goal was a complete turnkey solution and seamless user experience. As experts in user experience design and network/design implementation, we first understood the business, workflow, and nuances of teamwork in this special environment. In several design sessions, we showed the client models, mock-ups, and simulations. We obtained feedback and refined the solution to adhere to all the defined goals. Drawing on best practices and technologies from diverse video environments like public spaces, retail, financial services and higher education, we developed an exceptional and unique solution for the client.

The Results

Advanced Video Design to Create 10 Unique Work Spaces

Within three months, we completed schematic designs, design development, construction development and documentation, detailed specifications, and Day 2 support plans. We brought the client’s conceptual ideas to life with a state-of-the-art A/V program, creating a standout office environment that makes collaboration easy and work enjoyable.

New Environment highlights:

• Three large video walls. Each has nine 55” screens, enabling a single massive display or up to nine separate displays with ultra-thin bezel for seamless and smooth transition between screens.
• Inventive Multipurpose space with multiple video interfaces for brainstorming, leisure activities like karaoke, gaming, and content watching as well as to accommodate large gatherings.
• Library with advanced controllers and interfaces for quiet collaboration.
• Innovative Modeling room with real-time interactive displays from laptops onto wall for improved analysis, planning and execution.
